NEW YEAR, NEW YOU!

Hello My Lovely Friends,

I don’t know about you but I was certainly happy to say goodbye to 2020. It has been a terrible year in many aspects. COVID 19 has destroyed lives and livelihoods all over the world, but hopefully things will improve in 2021. I think that all the events of this past year had a profound effect on all of us. Maybe it is a reminder that we should stay focus to what really matters.

LOVE is a big word and it means many different things but it always starts with us. But it is more important than ever. We have to cleanse ourselves from all our doubts and uncertainties and learn to love who we are, as we are. Only then we can spread the love around. It all comes from within.

This new year is a perfect opportunity to do that. I say, take a chance and do something that you have always wanted to do but was afraid of doing. Set the fear aside, and believe in yourself, as only YOU can do it!

I wish all of you success and happiness in 2021.

I LOVE YOU ALL!!!

Being heard

Hello My Lovely Friends!

Over these past few weeks I have taken some time to check out other artists and it does not cease to amaze me how much talent there is out there! Wonderful artists who already have an audience and others who are waiting to be discovered. And this brings me to why it is so hard to get ahead of the pack.

Trying to be heard by the right people is challenging. You are like a grain of sand on a beach. A lot of artists complain about the fact that it is so difficult to succeed in the music business. I agree that there are lots of challenges but in this digital age we live in, we artists, have a huge advantage because of all the different music platforms etc. It is a lot easier to expose your music to a lot of listeners. The audience is ultimately the one who decides what music to listen to by streaming it and spreading the word!

Some people think that you can tell an audience what to like etc…but I have always believed that music is about emotions and feelings and that if an artist manages to touch somebody’s heart in one way or another, then it will resonate with that human being.

So we artists, all have to do our part by working hard, following our inspiration and our heart, give it all and we will ultimately create our own luck!

I LOVE YOU ALL!!!

Finding Inspiration AGAIN

Hello My Lovely Friends!

I have been blessed in recent months with my creativity. I did finish quite a few new compositions.

But in recent days, I haven’t been able to create as much, if anything at all. I have been wondering if it is like the writer’s block! I guess that it is like for any other artist, from time to time your brain goes blank. Maybe it has to do with the times we are living in now. So much is happening with this global health pandemic. We are all affected by the negativity and the sadness. Maybe it is just as simple as the fact that the brain needs a break from time to time or better yet, the artistic side needs to be renewed in some way. The question is how do you achieve that?

I decided to close myself to any negativity around me right now and let the beauty of nature fill my spirit, especially its sounds. I decided to listen again to all the beautiful music I heard in my recent travels.

I will recharge the battery of my creativity to make my piano sing again!

I LOVE YOU ALL!!!

Hope for tomorrow

Hello My Lovely Friends!

I have been reflecting lately about these terrible times we are living in with Covid-19 and all the devastation that is the result of this pandemic. So many people are grieving for the loss of their loved ones and the loss of their livelihood. There is hopelessness, sadness and fear. Fear of the unknown. What will tomorrow bring? How can we move forward? How can we cope?

Everybody finds their own way to deal with tragedy and adversity. I personally found a way to express my own sadness for all those people who have lost so much, by composing more than ever, especially very recently a composition which I called “The Ones Left Behind”, directly inspired by this pandemic. I am not a public speaker, the only way I can show my love and compassion is by creating music that can soothe and hopefully inspire and share it with everybody.

We have to stay hopeful and God willing, we will get out of this darkness sooner than later.

There is definitively hope for tomorrow!

I LOVE YOU ALL!!!

My Journey

Hello My Lovely Friends,

This month is special to me because one year ago I started this journey as a recording artist. I was truly a novice in the music business at the time. It is amazing how much I have learned about myself this past year. I have learned that composing is actually the easy part as I have been blessed by God who has given me constant creativity. I have learned that I could confront my fear of performing live, head on, and that it is so rewarding. I have learned that you grow as an artist by working hard, exploring all the sides of your creativity, being daring and most of all by staying true to your art.

I am looking forward to continuing this musical journey and I cannot wait to see what this year will bring.

I thank all My Lovely Friends who have decided to be part of this journey with me !

My Inspiration

Hello My Lovely Friends!

I have been asked many times where my inspiration comes from when I compose a new piece. To be honest, it is still a mystery to me as, very often, I sit at my piano and let my heart guides me. There are a few compositions though, that were inspired by real events happening at the time, like “Notre-Dame” (Burning of the cathedral in Paris) or “Inferno” (The millions of animals who perished in the Australian bushfires).

I believe that if you let your heart guide you as an artist, you cannot be wrong. I thank God for the continued inspiration whatever it may be.

I promise you, there is much more to come. Let’s continue this journey together!
